Bakugan Defenders of the Core

Bakugan Defenders of the Core is part role playing game, and part stealth game. Players have the role portion of setting up their team, and then they have avoid detection levels. The final area of Bakugan Defenders of the Core is to fight Bakugan. These towering monsters are huge, and the people all run when they are brought out. The Bakugan battles are done in 3D areas where the player controls one creature, and they battle against other Bakugans.

The cut scenes in Bakugan Defenders of the Core look really nice. There is a definite anime flavor to the style of the art in this Playstation Portable (PSP) hand held video game. The attacks the Bakugan can perform in Bakugan Defenders of the Core is impressive. They could easily destroy a city. In fact Bakugan Defenders of the Core reminds this reviewer of Godzilla in that regard. This PSP game contains numerous battles with various Bakugan.

The player somehow transports to this different world. The rest of the characters in Bakugan Defenders of the Core are susceptible to these dark crystals. The player can fight for them against the evil characters controlling the dark crystals. The music in Bakugan Defenders of the Core has an exciting, and upbeat feel to it. The storyline is not the most original, but Bakugan fans will not mind.

Bakugan Defenders of the Core contains over forty-five Bakugan, Brawlers, and traps. The storyline will take most players a few weeks to defeat completely. Two players can play Bakugan Defenders of the Core in Ad Hoc mode. Bakugan Defenders of the Core includes a nice array of unlockable content. Fans of the franchise will most likely really enjoy this hand held video game.

Every aspect of Bakugan Defenders of the Core controls the way one would expect it to. The mixture of stealth, role playing, and action adventure fighting seem really strange. The longer this reviewer played this PSP game the stranger it felt. The whole massive 3D fighting arenas is actually a smart idea for this kind of franchise. The whole stealth portion is what does not fit in this reviewer's opinion. The diversity of missions in the battles mean some are more fun than others.

Haven't we all dreamed of being transported to a completely different world that needs us? You either? Well that is what Bakugan Defenders of the Core teaches us. Some other lessons in this PSP game are to stand up to evil, and fight fire with fire. To be honest this reviewer never really understood that phrase, wouldn't one fight fire with water? Anyhow, Bakugan Defenders of the Core is an interesting blend that tries some new things. This reviewer is interested in future iterations of this franchise.
