Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer
SCORE: 82
I have to admit some ignorance when it comes to the Bakugan
franchise. I know you have these little creatures in these marble
looking orbs, and it reminds me of Pokemon. So I was curious to see what
Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer was all about. I have to admit I
like this franchise way more than the Pokemon one. You start with one of
these creatures, then two, three, four, and more. Train them in your
area before going to the alien ship for battles. Battles are where
Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer get really interesting.
Battles in this Nintendo DS game are done a very interesting and
innovative way. You add points to your creature(s), and whoever has the
highest score wins. Of course your creature gets points drained when the
opposing side drains down to zero. Say you have two hundred and they
have one hundred. They end up dropping to zero and you drop to one
hundred. Can your Bakugan take on the next one, since they are three on
three battles. Elements also come into play as water can trump fire for
example.
There are two sides of the tracks when it comes to the graphics in
Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer. The upper screen where the
monsters roar, and make attacking gestures at one another are
exceptional. The bottom screen where they are in the balls, and will hop
out (mini games for example) are not so great. I enjoyed the color
scheme and most of the artwork in Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle
Trainer. Certain female characters on specific screens are showing off
midriffs, and one has a very short mini skirt on.
The music is pretty good in Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer. I
enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to. Players are on a quest to
save all the Bakugan who were stolen by the alien ship. I know there
would not be much of a game, but I have a curious thought related to
that. Why did the alien ship sit there and wait for the player to come
attack them. Then stay there while I systematically took these creatures
back? Okay maybe I think about things too much.
The more you play Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer, the more there
is to do. You unlock Bakugan, mini games, types, and more in this
Nintendo DS video game. The length of the game is good, and will keep
gamers busy for a few weeks. If you are looking for a game that is safer
for the family than Pokemon, then Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer
is it. It is a different kind of a game, so please keep that mind.
The mini games in Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer are a lot of
fun to play. I enjoyed replaying them over and over. Winning them grants
you more powerful orbs that can be used in the battles. Trust me they
become very important as you are progressing through this game. I would
have liked a way of leveling up outside of the battles personally. The
only quibble I have is I had trouble changing Bakugan while battling. I
would have preferred the game wait for me to make a selection.
Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer teaches us that stealing is
wrong, and fighting to free those who have been enslaved. The mini games
are great for quick thinking, hand eye coordination, and color
recognition. I came into this hand held video game not knowing a lot
about the franchise. I still do not know a lot about Bakugan. What I do
know is Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Trainer is a fun game that is
much safer than any other creature battling game we have played here at
