Alvin and the Chipettes in Cinderella Cinderella
SCORE: 81
Alvin and the Chipettes in Cinderella, Cinderella is a DVD that
contains three television episodes of Alvin and the Chipmunks. The three
episodes are Cinderella, Cinderella, Alvie's Angels, and The Brunch
Club. Each of these will be very familiar to many Americans. Cinderella
is of course based on Cinderella. Alvie's Angels is based on Charlie's
Angels. The Brunch Club reminded me of The Breakfast Club.
This was one of my personal favorite cartoons from the 80s. Alvin and
the Chipettes in Cinderella, Cinderella carries along this tradition by
putting three of these classic cartoons on disc. The first two are from
one era, and the last one was from a little bit later. Watching the
intro song is how we could tell that. Alvie's Angels has characters in
bikinis. I do not see this reaching anywhere near enticement to lust
though.
Most people enjoy the sounds of the Chipmunks and Chipettes. In fact
their little voices are still ringing in my ear. Alvin and the Chipettes
in Cinderella, Cinderella has a couple of songs that I enjoyed. Children
really get into this cartoon, and laugh at various points. I did not
find anything offensive in the language of this DVD.
We have been coming down on Paramount in past reviews for the lack of
extras in these packages. Family Friendly Gaming has also commented on
there being three episodes only on a disc. Alvin and the Chipettes in
Cinderella, Cinderella continues this trend, and I can honestly find
little else to say on the topic. I am not sure how the three episodes
connect either.
The menu screens for Alvin and the Chipettes in Cinderella, Cinderella
do their job promptly, properly, and without complaint. If these
cartoons could only teach children to behave in the same fashion. The
stories follow their counterparts from start to finish. I suspected the
outcome in The Brunch Club, and it was entertaining to get there.
Children have fun watching Alvin and the Chipettes in Cinderella,
Cinderella.
Alvin and the Chipettes in Cinderella, Cinderella contains wholesome
entertainment for the most part. I am not into the Chipmunks as my
children are. The only issue I can see from these stories that may
concern parents is the magic in the Cinderella episode. The magic wand
is used to create the stage, horse, and driver. It did not bother me,
but then I am very used to the Cinderella story.
