I would like to personally thank Disney from the bottom of my heart
for the release of Air Bud Golden Receiver Special Edition. The
inclusion of the whistle in this package retains a special place in my
four year olds mouth. That whistle has spent more time in time out than
any other toy he has. We have not had it very long either. All humor
aside, Air Bud returns in this movie to play football. This is one
talented golden retriever. He earns a new name, and that is golden
receiver. He can catch the pigskin and run into the end zone.
Air Bud Golden Receiver Special Edition shows a little age even though
it has been digitally mastered. The images of the animals will really
get children interested, as well as the football aspect. I appreciate
how safe Disney made the football violence in Air Bud Golden Receiver
Special Edition. There is one scene where viewers are led to believe Air
Bud has been hurt. Thankfully he is okay. There is romance in this
movie, and it is kept very family friendly.
I enjoyed the humor in Air Bud Golden Receiver Special Edition. The
writers did a better job in this movie than Air Bud in my opinion. There
are some corny parts but children will not notice. The music is good and
fits the theme of this movie perfectly. Something that stands out in
this film for me is how safe the script is. I have no problem with my
children rewatching Air Bud Golden Receiver Special Edition.
In case you did not realize it, I was not very pleased with the whistle
in this package. The other bonus features are upcoming sneak peaks, and
commentary by the buddies. The stand out upcoming sneak peak has got to
be Toy Story 3. There is a lot of video of this upcoming movie shown,
and it exposes a lot more of the plot. The buddies commenting on the
plays is okay, but nowhere near as funny as the in game commentators.
Air Bud Golden Receiver Special Edition functions just as I would expect
it to. The storyline is predictable all the way up to the end. The one
quibble I have is there are some inaccuracies to the area. My husband is
from the area, and commented on a few of them. I noticed some myself.
This is a minor issue, but one that people from the Pacific Northwest
will immediately pick up on.
There are some great issues and lessons in Air Bud Golden Receiver
Special Edition. A child tries to run away, and decides against it. He
learns that he does not need to stop loving his father (who has died).
He can have room in his heart for a step-father. Another interesting
lesson is to understand why we do certain things, and to have fun. Air
Bud Golden Receiver Special Edition is safe for the entire family.
