Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving
SCORE: 89
Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving has made it to a 10th Anniversary Edition. Some of the biggest holidays in America are covered by this gang of characters. The Thanksgiving, and Christmas episodes contain some of the most heart felt emotions I have seen in a cartoon in a long time. There are approximately 63 minutes of television on this DVD. Plus it comes with a little stocking stuffer as a collectible. What may really surprise viewers is the humor that Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving contains.
Winnie the Pooh contains some great animation. I have always liked the Pooh bear cartoons. There are a few of the cartoons from different eras, but they are not that far apart graphically. There are a lot of colors used in Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving, and plenty of loving images. Images of bravery are also included on this DVD. Winter is the main setting in these cartoons. I did not find any offensive images in Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving.
It is great how caring the characters are in Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving. I found a lot of great concepts like when Rabbit realizes he was wrong, and needs to go apologize to Piglet. I also like how Pooh does his best for his friends, and is very humble. Kids enjoy the songs on this DVD, and the humor that I have previously mentioned.
The collectible stocking is a nice little extra. There are two extra episodes on Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving. The Magic Earmuffs, and The Wishing Bear are those two episodes. The extras do not stop there as there is also Coloring Fun with Piglet, and Decorate your own Christmas Tree. Children will appreciate these.
The layout of the menu screen makes it easy to go from place to place. I appreciate the intelligent design of these screens. The stories in Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving are very heart warming. All ages of the family can enjoy this DVD. The love and caring in many of these cartoons are great to see.
Winnie the Pooh Seasons of
Giving has got me thinking about how family friendly Winnie the Pooh has
been over the years. I would love to see more cartoons like this. It is
great that Disney released this 10th Anniversary Edition. I woud have
liked to see more of a focus on the true meaning of the holidays. With
that said there are great lessons in Winnie the Pooh Seasons of Giving.
Some of them are helping those in need, letting loved ones grow, and
forgiveness.
