Wallace and Gromit Episode 3 Muzzled
SCORE: 85
TellTale Games has
released the third installment of the Wallace and Gromit Grand
Adventures series - Episode 3: Muzzled! In Muzzled!, the wonderful
characters of Wallace and Gromit are back for another adventure. As with
the previous two installments of the Grand Adventure series, the
developers have done a great job of giving the gamer a sense of being in
the story.
The story starts with dogs running loose throughout town and causing
trouble with Wallace and his neighbor. The local animal shelter was
destroyed in a storm and a new character, Monty Muzzle, comes on the
scene to raise money to build a new shelter. As the story progresses
Gromit realizes that Muzzle may not be the person he is portraying to
the town's people. Gromit then begins an adventure to save the dogs and
the money raised. The ending of the storyline will provide some
surprises for the gamer.
The story has a somewhat darker tone to it than the previous episode -
The Last Resort. Some of the humor is missing due to this darker tone,
but it does not take away from the overall game experience. One thing
that the developers improved on this time around is including the story
line more into the problem solving exercises. The gamer will notice the
menus, setup, and graphical presentation are the same as the previous
episodes, so there is continuity from one episode to the next.
For the readers that may not be aware, TellTale Games has released
individual episodes of Wallace and Gromit Grand Adventures separately so
they can be purchased for $8.95. Another option is to purchase the
entire series for $34.95.
The Grand Adventure episodes are great for playing with family members.
I am certain the problem solving can facilitate multiple family members
giving their advice on how to proceed. Also, the situations and
circumstances of the story can even provide opportunities for parents to
address certain issues with their kids (example: Muzzle not being who he
said he was).
The game can be replayed with other family and friends to see how they
can do with the puzzles. If you enjoyed the first two episodes then you
will definitely enjoy Muzzled!
