Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure

Disney produces so many different and wonderful franchises that I was very interested in Tinkerbell. She was a lesser known character from Peter Pan who has blossomed into her own franchise. Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure is the latest in her saga. Blu-ray, and DVD owners can now see this 80 minute long animated movie. Tinkerbell is given the honor of making a special scepter for the moonstone. It is almost a blue moon, and the moonlight reflecting through the moonstone will restore the Pixie Dust Tree. That tree is the source of their magic. Things go wrong when the moonstone is accidentally shattered. Tinkerbell must find some way to make it right, or their entire way of life will be in jeopardy.

The animation in Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure is really good. I found plenty of wonderful scenes that showed some amazing beauty. Tinkerbell is covered up well in my opinion. There is some great diversity in the characters. I was very impressed with how safe Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure is for the entire family. The only violence is comical stuff like someone slipping on something and falling down. A scary bat also flies by, but that was so fast it is hardly worth a mention.

Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure teaches the lesson of counting to ten when someone is starting to make you angry. I have lost track of how many times I have used that in my life. I was not expecting to find humor on this disc, but I did. The music is cute, and fits this movie. There is talk of magic, and magical items. Please be aware of that. It did not bother me personally though.

The package Disney gave Family Friendly Gaming contained both the Blu-ray, and DVD on it. I enjoyed the Demi Lovato music video, the Pixie Powered Goofs, and the Deleted Scenes.  There are additional extras on Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure that I will let you explore. Disney included a fair amount of extras on these discs.

The menu screens on Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure display an intelligent design, and are easy to navigate through. I found some of the words to be small, but it got me up off the couch (editor: and thats a good thing). The story is about friendship, and finding a way to make the best of a mistake. I enjoyed this movie, and the kids liked watching the fairies fly around. I do think girls will appreciate this movie more than boys.

Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure shows what is really important in life - friends. It is really cool to see how Tinkerbell solves the problem. Forgiveness is also touched on by this film. I like this franchise, and hope to see more of it in the future. Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure is safe for the entire family. It was my pleasure to watch this movie.
