Stargate Atlantis Season One
SCORE: 65
Stargate Atlantis is a spin off of the Stargate SG-1 television show. The first season of this science fiction show introduces the characters, and a brand new enemy - the Wraith. Humans are food for the Wraith in a manner of speaking. The Wraith suck the life out of humans turning them old. The main problem with Stargate Atlantis Season One is the teachings in the religion of evolution, and Ascension. There is also some violence, blood, and gore.
Few humans in the Pegasus Galaxy can stand up to the Wraith but many try in various ways. I wish that Stargate Atlantis Season One spent more time exploring their galaxy, instead of immediately introducing a new enemy. There is some language issues in this television show, usually during intense emotional outbursts. MGM and 20th Century Fox included a nice amount of extras that will interest fans of the series. This spin off series plays with the team formula in a lot of ways. Doctors and scientists become more important, and the actors do an excellent job.
This series has a lot of humor in it, especially to those who have an
understanding of science fiction, along with an understanding of other
television shows (editor: and movies). Dr. Weir tries a little too hard
for my tastes in Stargate Atlantis Season One. It is like she is working
extra hard to show herself as a strong leader.
