Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth

I did not even know the Power Rangers were still around until I started watching Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth on DVD. The world has gotten almost completely taken over by a computer virus. This virus creates robots that has taken over all of the earth. The city of Corinth is the last gasp mankind has. The virus keeps sending robots into the city and it is up to the Power Rangers to save the day. The formula of this show is fighting bad guys with some storyline, the boss enemy is destroyed, a giant sized version of the boss enemy appears, and then a giant size version of the Power Rangers transform into one megazord (robot). This DVD contains a background story for most of the rangers in the five episodes.

Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth has a lot of martial arts style fighting with explosions, shooting, and other similar kinds of violence. The fighting action is generally tame, however there are a few things to note. One of the robots arms gets ripped off, and the Green Power Ranger throws it away. The attire choices the characters pick is appropriate.

The music in Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth fits the theme of the television show. I did get a little tired of the Power Rangers shouting out a certain slogan before transforming. There was nothing offensive in that phrase, it just got old in my opinion. I love how the characters are trying to help one another out. I also caught a positive comment about eating ones vegetables.

Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth has some previews for other Disney DVDs. Aside from that there are not a lot of bonus features. Kids into Power Rangers will rewatch these related five episodes. Some kids I let watch Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth were into it during the first show, and then they got interested in other stuff. I did like how the storyline built over the episodes.

It is fun to navigate around the few screens on the DVD of Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth. I liked the flashback features that showed some great background to many of the Power Rangers. This fleshed out the characters for me, and made me more interested in this show at the end, than the beginning. So Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth contains something for adults as well.

Fighting for survival is one of the lessons I learned in Power Rangers RPM Race for Corinth. I also learned to believe good in others, and that viruses are bad. Robot also keep coming, and there are plenty to be destroyed. Actually I also learned that robots are always defeatable no matter what special power they come with.
