Phineas and Ferb is a fun little action adventure Nintendo DS video game based on the Disney franchise. The two go about their creation quest to build incredible inventions. These two embark on their summer adventure in order to produce some of the coolest rides ever. Scavenging throughout the various levels is part of the game play. Avoiding the older sister in another part. Getting to ride those rides is yet another one. Disney Interactive Studios included a lot of ways to get through this game. Phineas and Ferb is another DGamer compatible title, for the online community of Disney gamers.
The artistic style of the graphics in Phineas and Ferb is really different. I have not seen the television show so I was not familiar with this style of animation. There is mild violence in this Nintendo DS game, however the majority of this game is to find parts. The second part is putting the part together. So Phineas and Ferb is part scavenger hunt, and part puzzle game. Riding the rides is a fun part of this DS game.
Phineas and Ferb has slightly above music that fits the theme of the game. I liked how the characters are working hard to create something. Of course few parents would want their children building amusement style rides. I doubt few kids would even come close, so I do not see that as a real issue. The sister is shown as an uptight character who wants to catch them doing something wrong.
DGamer is one of the real charms of Phineas and Ferb. That alone will keep a lot of Disney gamers active, engaged, and involved in this DS game. Disney Interactive Studios included a lot of content in this game to keep player busy for weeks. I feel Phineas and Ferb on the DS is worth the money, especially if you are a fan of the show.
The cooperative team play in many areas of Phineas and Ferb is admirable. The controls show an intelligent design. I only have one quibble and that is some screens that demanded a screen touch, or a button press. Going back and forth between the two is not always the most comfortable action.
Phineas and Ferb is one of the few good television based Nintendo DS
video games. Hardcore gamers can find a lot to unlock, and casual gamers
will find this game very approachable. Teamwork, and hard work are some
of the good lessons found in Phineas and Ferb. Not including elder
guidance is the one potential bad lesson
