Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian

Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian is one of the funniest movies for families that I have seen in years. The good guys and bad guys have some very witty lines. Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams and more reprise their roles in this sequel. Amy Adams takes on the role of Amelia Earhart giving Larry Daley (Ben Stiller’s character) a love interest. Larry has become a successful business man, and the exhibits are being moved to the Smithsonian. A new evil Egyptian (Kahmunrah) is there, and coming to life has him interested in obtaining The Tablet. A new monkey is included, along with a slapping scene.

It is so cool to see exhibits come to life in Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian. There is some mild violence on this DVD. Most of it is very mild like slapping. The fight with a weapon versus a flashlight is really interesting. The loving nature of these giant animals is really cool. The giant statue of Abraham Lincoln coming to life is a real treat to see.

There is a lot of humor in Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian. Many of the characters have great lines. Some of them are expected, and others come out of the blue. I ran into a few minor language issues while watching this DVD. I enjoyed the various eras the characters are from. The music is pretty good in this film, along with the message of doing what makes you happy.

Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian has some pretty awesome special features. There are the usual commentaries, deleted scenes, and gag reel. I also found the feature with the Jonas Brothers to be pretty good. I spent more time on the special features, and extras than I did watching the movie. I liked the movie, especially its twists and turns.

The menu screens operate as I wanted them to. They have an intelligent design. The storyline in Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian really expands the original. Cameos from characters like Darth Vader are really cool, even if he is mocked. I had fun watching this DVD.

Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian has a few minor issues with it. It much cleaner in terms of being family friendly than I was expecting. I love the message of money does not buy happiness. I also found the ending to be fantastic. I hope there is a sequel to this film in the near future.
