Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian The Video Game

I found a lot of things to like in Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian The Video Game on the Xbox 360, Wii, and PC. The generally fresh humor, ease of direction, generous save points, and well working tools. Players take on the role of Larry Daley (played by Ben Stiller) who must stop an evil Egyptian. The goal is to find all of the pieces of this mystical artifact. Each piece found grants the player a new power, which is needed to move on from that particular level.

The graphics in Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian The Video Game have a real sharp feel to them. The animation is well done, and the museums need to be seen to believed. In other words it looks very realistic. I would have liked a few more details in the faces, but that is a very minor quibble. The special effect images really draw the eye to the point of focus.

Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian The Video Game contains some humor that those 10 and up should be able to handle. I found myself laughing at Ben Stiller’s sarcastic little remarks. There are some words, and attitudes that are not good for those under that age range. I really liked the music in this home console game. Certain phrases can be repeated multiple times and that will annoy some people.

I wish Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian The Video Game was a lot longer. I beat it in a few hours. Now I did not collect every item, or get every achievement. However I do not think it would take me much more time to acquire all that. The thing that saves this game from failing this section is there is bonus content. Only one player can play this game at a time.

Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian The Video Game has a rating of E10+, but the gameplay is for even younger players. This is a pretty easy game. The audio hints, and written instructions make this game a breeze (as long as you pay attention to them). This game will wind up a rental for many gamers. It is fun, but briefly.

Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian The Video Game is generally non-violent. Larry Daley does not directly attack the enemies. He will turn on a switch that will make something fall on a bad guys head for example. The mystical artifact is an issue many families will look at. I would like to see longer sequels.
