NHL 2K10

NHL 2K10 may have the most realistic flow to any hockey game I have ever played. Even on the lower difficulty settings it is very difficult to score a goal. 2K Sports got that part down pat. This year the Wii version is improved in almost every aspect imaginable. The largest leap is in the presentation. If you have ever been to a real hockey game then you will appreciate the beginning of every single game.

The graphical improvements in NHL 2K10 are a step up from the previous game. The facial features are one of the most notable to me. There are also certain games that can be played with Miis. The shining star to the graphics in NHL 2K10 is the ice. The shine, and reflection on the ice is a nice touch. I love the special effects of a game intro, and little touches like a player going into the penalty box. Hockey does include some fighting, so expect to see certain violent images (less than a boxing game though).

NHL 2K10 has some fantastic commentators. There are multiple modes, so the player can find the one that best suits them. There is a musical track included that can be turned off in the options. None of the musicians were to my liking, but you may enjoy their music. I can say that the music is very energetic, and loud.

Sports games generally have a lot of replay value. NHL 2K10 fits into that generalization perfectly. I played this with some family members, and friends. Even certain people who are not into hockey had fun playing NHL 2K10 on the Wii. 2K Sports included a lot of various modes, and options to be used in this Wii game. I feel that NHL 2K10 is worth the price of admission.

NHL 2K10 has some fantastic controls. Being able to flick my wrist while pressing a button is a great way to take a shot. Now if those goalies were not so stingy I would be having a lot more fun. 2K Sports included so many different ways of controlling NHL 2K10 that everyone can find a way to play.

Hockey teaches teamwork, hand eye coordination, and out smarting the defense. NHL 2K10 can also teach players to let in to their anger. To be fair most hockey games teach that same lesson. I found that the player can play games without getting into one fight.
