NCAA Basketball 10

The line between reality and video games continue to blur. There are so many aspects of NCAA Basketball 10 that mirror real college basketball that it is scary.  EA Sports has really stepped up their game in terms of presentation. When someone walks behind me and asks who I am watching on TV, you know the game has got it going on. Fans of various teams will find their favorite arenas, team colors, and cheerleaders.

The polish in the graphics is very apparent. There are parts of NCAA Basketball 10 that look better than live television. When you see a close up of the players you can tell it is still a video game. The same goes for the coaches, cheerleaders, and fans. The diversity in the crowd is there. There are a lot of little touches in NCAA Basketball 10 that stick out with me. Things like camera men, and reflections off the court. Players animated well, and that is one of the reasons this game looks so realistic.

NCAA Basketball 10 allows for the CBS Sports, or the ESPN presentation. This is a great touch. The announcers have some good sound bytes. This is still one area that I feel needs a little improvement. When you watch a game, the announcers are telling all kinds of stories about the players. NCAA Basketball 10 has moments of silence. The quiet time does not bother me, but if the goal is to be realistic - there needs to be some filler chatter.

If you enjoy college basketball, then your money will be well spent on NCAA Basketball 10. You can easily spend an entire year playing this game. There are so many teams, features, and things to do. Online modes will allow you play against anyone at anytime. NCAA Basketball 10 can also update to current team rosters. Look I am not into college basketball, and feel this game is worth a purchase.

The first thing I noticed about NCAA Basketball 10 is the loading screen. I had a guy in a half court area where I could practice shooting the ball. This area also gave me tips on the game. I got into some games and found the flow of NCAA Basketball 10 is like a real college basketball game. Your not walking right up to the hoop and shooting. The computer defense has bought a few vowels. The computer will make mistakes, and home court advantage means something in this game. I had a lot of fun playing NCAA Basketball 10.

I learned basketball strategies, and to protect the ball while playing NCAA Basketball 10. I also learned to play clean, fair, and to avoid fouling. I am sure a sequel will come up next year, and I can not wait to see how EA Sports continues to improve this fantastic franchise. I will be recommending this game to friends, and family.
