Mickeys Magical Christmas Snowed in at the House of Mouse

Mickey’s Magical Christmas Snowed in at the House of Mouse has a slew of Disney characters at a club enjoying Christmas Eve together. This is some of the best parts of the sixty-five minute animated movie. There are also well known Disney Christmas cartoons that are shown. The storyline follows Donald Duck being unhappy, and Mickey trying to cheer him up. It was cool to see the Little Mermaid, Snow White, Tigger, Pooh, Simba, and many more together in one spot. It would have been better if there had been more of them together, but then the extras have some of that.

Mickey’s Magical Christmas Snowed in at the House of Mouse has pretty standard, well known, and appreciated Disney animation. The singing part at the end where different stars mix together is awesome to see. I spent most of the time recognizing and acknowledging animated characters. There is some cartoon violence in some of the shorts. Pretty typical Disney stuff. I would let children watch Mickey’s Magical Christmas Snowed in at the House of Mouse.

For the most part the audio is clean on this DVD. Mickey’s Magical Christmas Snowed in at the House of Mouse does contain a few minor name calling in a place here or there. None of it bothered me, however I like to bring it to the attention of parents. The music is Christmas based, although the religious aspect of the holiday has been excluded.

I have seen parts of House of Mouse before, but never a full episode. I was really pleased to see the premiere episode of House of Mouse is on Mickey’s Magical Christmas Snowed in at the House of Mouse. There are sing alongs to Deck and Halls, and Sleigh Ride. Rounding out the extras section is a featurrette on Disney Sound Effects.

I found this DVD to be enjoyable to watch. It is a little on the short side, and some of the short cartoons are on other packages. The menu screens exhibit an intelligent design that is easy to use. I do appreciate the whole concept of this story - which is to help out someone in a bad mood. There are times a cartoon mouse could help put me in a better mood.

I am torn when it comes to the Family Friendly Factor of Mickey’s Magical Christmas Snowed in at the House of Mouse. I am not fond of little to no mention of Christ in a Christmas feature. I do like how the crew goes out of their way to make Donald happy. I would like to see more of the House of Mouse. I am not sure how many there are (editor: if there is enough content for a season).
