Marble Saga Kororinpa

Marble Saga Kororinpa is the sequel to Kororinpa Marble Mania that we have been waiting for. Hudson has taken the original formula and improved upon it in almost every single way possible. Players roll marbles around in full 360 degrees collecting crystals, and then making it to the goal. The inclusion of a story involving a little ant needing help finding the golden sunflower gives players another reason to play every level. Speaking of levels, Hudson has done a fantastic job exploding the number of levels. That would have been enough for me, but they included Wii Balance Board connectivity, and an expansive level creation mode.

The graphics in Marble Saga Kororinpa are an upgrade in terms of shine and detail. The original looked great, and this sequel looks even better. There are a lot of different worlds in Marble Saga Kororinpa, and Anthony the ant is a great guide. I do have one minor quibble with Marble Saga Kororinpa. There are certain spots where the camera was not in a place that I could see where I was going. This is the only thing that really holds this game back from perfection though.

I love the music in Marble Saga Kororinpa. There are a lot of great Wii games, and Marble Saga Kororinpa joins them. The mission of helping out an ant get the golden sunflower is an honorable quest. Different marbles have different cute sounds that add a lot of character to Marble Saga Kororinpa.

There is so much to do in Marble Saga Kororinpa that I can see gamers busy for months. There are a lot more levels, online rankings, level creation, multiple difficulty modes, etc. If you are looking for a good, safe Wii game for your entire family (editor: up to four can play at once) then spend your money on Marble Saga Kororinpa.

Marble Saga Kororinpa is fun to play with the Wii Remote, and on the balance board. The difficulty curve in Marble Saga Kororinpa is perfect. Hudson gently brings the player along with plenty of unlockables. I am amazed at the intelligent design to so many levels in this game.

Helping others, and safely navigating mazes are the main lessons in Marble Saga Kororinpa. I love how encouraging this Wii game is. It will tell you that you will get it this time after making a mistake. The Wii needed this sequel, and I hope this franchise turns into a trilogy. My hat goes off to Hudson for another great one.
