Littlest PetShop Friends

Littlest PetShop Friends is a really exuberant video game on the Wii. It is very similar (editor: if not almost the same) to the Nintendo DS video game - Littlest PetShop Beach Friends. A little bear, and his caterpillar friend are going to a friendly town. The caterpillar starts out in a cocoon. There are mini games to be played in Littlest PetShop Friends, along with a lot of friends to make. Players can also design their own accessories, and style their pets with them.

Littlest PetShop Friends contains many bright and colorful graphics. Children find these images to be to their liking. I liked how happy, and friendly the little characters are. They all animate as one would expect. The artwork follows the well known franchise. I did not find any offensive images while playing Littlest PetShop Friends. In fact smoke out of a building is the worst image I can think of.

The music in Littlest PetShop Friends is upbeat, happy, and fresh. I enjoyed the intro music video because it felt fun. Out of all of the video games out there, it is nice to see a publisher like EA put the time into making children's games fun. Children and adults smile at this game. Teenagers are a different story, but then their hormones are out of whack so that did not surprise me.

Some of the mini games are entertaining enough to warrant a replay. There are a few of the mini games that dragged on (the ball hiding under the cup, and three cups being moved around is the best example). The customization is in this game as long as the player wants to do it. I found the kids were not into creating a lot of their own accessories. I also was not into that part of the game. If you are, then you will find a lot of replay value to Littlest PetShop Friends.

Most of the mini games in Littlest PetShop Friends are a lot of fun. I tried the Nintendo DS version, and honestly believe they are more fun on that version of this game. Two players can play the games on the Wii version together so that is a neat little feature. Running around town is a lot of fun, and there are plenty of places to visit. Kids really loved getting to control the animals. Who can blame them. Secretly I enjoyed it as well.

Littlest PetShop Friends is safe for the entire family, and a lot of clean fun. This Wii game taught me to help my friends, and to have fun no matter what I am doing. I also learned that things change in our lives, and to embrace that. I would like to see a sequel to Littlest PetShop Friends on the Wii, especially if there are more mini games. I would also like to see mini games that are geared more towards the Wii. Some of them felt like they were designed for the DS, and brought over to the Wii.
