Leverage The 1st Season

Leverage is a show based on four thieves and one ex-insurance man who steal from corrupt people to give the little people justice. The best way to describe Leverage The 1st Season is the A-Team meets Mission Impossible. The ways they get around problems is one of the most interesting aspects of this television show. Timothy Hutton does an excellent job of playing a man who lost his son because his own insurance company refused to pay the cost of a treatment that may have saved his life. For him it is about helping those who can get no help from the law, government, and major corporations. Leverage The 1st Season contains thirteen episodes that range from bringing down corrupt politicians to greedy corporations. Actually the season is pretty heavy on greedy corporations.

The visuals in Leverage The 1st Season range a lot, although there are a fair amount in dark areas. Every show has a fist fight where Eliot Spencer takes out security guards, private military, and of course bad guys. Normally he does not kill them, but there is an exception to that rule at least once.

I really enjoyed the music in Leverage The 1st Season. There is an issue with the language on various levels. It is interesting that the first few episodes were pretty clean, and seemed to increase in intensity after that. There are also some adult issues like strip clubs, revenge, and stealing. This show is for teenagers and up in my opinion.

Leverage The 1st Season has some nice bonus features to it. Every single episode comes with audio commentary, deleted scenes, behind the scenes, and anatomy of a stunt fight are some of those extras.

The menu screens in Leverage The 1st Season are very straight forward. I moved around the screens with the greatest of ease. The deception in the stories is one issue that families will need to take note of. I appreciated how the team helps those in need. They also take no money from the victims. They have an alternative revenue stream.

I enjoyed watching Leverage The 1st Season. As I let some others here at FFG watch the show they pointed out the issues of getting revenge, and doing all kinds of evil to stop another evil. I concede these issues. I still feel this television show gives many hope when they face a corrupt government.
