Jonas Brothers The Concert Experience
SCORE: 84
The Jonas Brothers have become huge over the last couple of years. A family of three brothers that sing, dance, and do acrobatics caught my eye. I am not into their music personally, but can appreciate their talents. The Jonas Brothers are also a story of triumph over adversity. They went from playing small venues of two hundred people to playing in Madison Square Garden. Their attitudes about the entire experience is very refreshing. A lot of performers have big heads, but these three boys are in awe of how many people are interested in their work. I like that they write all their own music, and work hard at their craft. I would go insane if my life was as packed full with appointments as theirs.
Jonas Brothers The Concert Experience is a lot of video from live concerts mixed with some behind the scenes video. Rock stars have images, so it is refreshing to see The Jonas Brothers. They dress well, and generally so does their adoring fans. There are some images of girls going crazy chasing and screaming.
I was also pleasantly surprised how tame the majority of the lyrics are in the songs that the Jonas Brothers sing. There are a lot of songs about love which makes sense for their age, and target audience. I have to be honest, I look at these boys and ponder how much they can actually know about the topic, but maybe that is just me. I enjoyed some of their songs, and noticed that kids and teeny boppers did as well.
If you enjoy the Jonas Brothers then you will rewatch this concert over and over again. The Up Close and Personal behind the scenes feature was very educational. The Blu-ray version contains the Extended Movie in 3D as well as 2D. Sneak Peak previews are also on these discs, as well as a Digital Copy disc.
The menu screens and Fast Play are at Disney’s normal standards. I had no problems navigating around the discs and found Jonas Brothers The Concert Experience to be a fun experience. Fans of this band will eat the DVD and Blu-ray up.
I love how the Jonas Brothers are a family, and they work together.
They are human and this movie shows how they mess around with each other
like the after shocks at the breakfast table (editor: really early in
the morning). I am now starting to take an interest in this band thanks
to this movie.
