Jewel Master Egypt

I have enjoyed The Cradle of Rome on the Nintendo DS for some months now. Jewel Master Egypt is a hand held video game in the same mold. One interesting difference is after clearing all the colored blocks, the player must bring a little bug from the top of the screen down to the bottom. All of this in a set amount of time.

Resources are attained in Jewel Master Egypt, and then the player builds their empire. Purchasing of the various buildings (editor: and much more) are based on the resources collected in the levels. It is clear visually what all of the items are. I did not notice any offensive images while playing Jewel Master Egypt.

I got into the music in Jewel Master Egypt. It is fresh, happy, fun, and very encouraging. This music also fits the theme of this game perfectly. Egypt has such a mystery in its history that there is something very special about it. Building an area up and doing so through a puzzle game is a cool idea.

Storm City Games included quite a few levels. I can see family members playing Jewel Master Egypt for months. There are a lot of buildings and other things that can be purchased. The more resources you score in a level, the quicker you will be able to purchase them. If you like puzzles games then you will find your money well spent on Jewel Master Egypt.

The game play in Jewel Master Egypt is to swap two blocks thus making three or more of the same kind. These are the resources I have been referring to. This works wonderfully in this DS game. The only concern I can see is if you become addicted to the game play and neglect your real life. If that happens please seek help.

Family Friendly Gaming loves games that encouraging building and growth. Jewel Master Egypt is one of those games. I learned pattern recognition, how to move something from the top of the screen down, and how to build up a civilization. I really enjoy this kind of game, and hope for sequels in coming years.
