Imagine Makeup Artist

Imagine Makeup Artist teaches the player how to apply makeup. This Nintendo DS game starts the player out in a classroom at a shop. After learning the basics of applying makeup (foundations, eye liner, lipstick, and blush) the players get a shot at a real life customer. Many customers do not know exactly what they want which sends girls to other characters in the game for tips.

There are a wide array of characters in Imagine Makeup Artist. The majority of the characters have good attire choices. There are a few that are suggestive in a sexual way. I enjoyed the various colors in this game, and the close ups of faces. There is not a lot of animation in Imagine Makeup Artist, but that is okay.

Imagine Makeup Artist has great music. I love listing to the music in this Nintendo DS cartridge. The special effect sounds are great when you do well, and a little bit of a downer when you fail at a client. There are a few comments by client that caught my eye. A girl wanting to give herself as a present was one of them. Thankfully they wind up getting a date.

There are a fair amount of mini games in Imagine Makeup Artist. Some of them are more fun to play others. In fact I enjoyed some of them more than the makeup portion of this DS game. Ubisoft included quite a few different clothing choices, along with makeup color choices.

The main game play mechanic in Imagine Makeup Artist is touch screen. Any work being done can be restarted as long as it is done before selecting the end button. The talking portion of the game allows for buttons or touch screen controls. Family Friendly Gaming has always been supportive of games that allow for multiple methods.

Imagine Makeup Artist teaches girls to put on makeup, and to help others. The goals of the customers is not always the most positive, in fact some are selfish. It accurately reflects many of the people out in the world. I like how Ubisoft added so many different jobs (mini games essentially) around town. I would like to see a sequel to this DS game.
