I Love Beauty Hollywood Makeover is exactly what I expected it to be. This Nintendo DS video game lets girls take on the role of a makeover specialist in Hollywood. Doing hair, nails, and picking the jewelry are some of the actions girls get to do. The main character has a dream to meet the stars of Hollywood. I know there are a lot of people who worship our fellow human beings just because they act in popular movies and/or shows. I do not believe in treating anyone differently. I treat everyone special, and found this to be a perfect teachable moment.

There is a soft look and feel to the graphics in I Love Beauty Hollywood Makeover. My niece quickly pointed out how certain characters are wearing what is referred to as boobie shirts. That means they are wearing clothing that is tight on the chest, or revealing cleavage. This is the only graphical portion of this hand held video game that will bother our fantastic readers.

The music is pleasant enough in I Love Beauty Hollywood Makeover. I enjoyed most of the special effect sounds in this game. The sounds to let me know I had made a mistake are not pleasant though. I am not a fan of granting extra special treatment to certain people based on their profession. Pastors, the military, the police, firemen, and other such professions garner more respect from me than an actor or actress in Hollywood.

City Interactive included a lot of different mini games, and levels in I Love Beauty Hollywood Makeover. Do well with certain clients, and it opens the door to new clients. I Love Beauty Hollywood Makeover includes a contest to be the best makeover artist as well.

I Love Beauty Hollywood Makeover has good controls that are usually easy to use. I found myself a little confused about when certain mini games were done because it would let me continue even after I had successfully completed the task. Certain game play aspects can get repetitive, and since I have put make up on for years it got a little old at times. I did appreciate the help/hint button. There were times for whatever reason I missed the instructions and that button got me through a particular mini game.

It took me quite a bit of prayer to discern the main message in I Love Beauty Hollywood Makeover. The player is a servant to others, and making them look good on the outside. The service is what I feel the main lesson of this game is. Matching colors, and picking what looks good with what is something many girls will take interest in. I would like to see a sequel to this DS game.
