Help Wanted

Help Wanted is one of the freshest mini game compilations on the Wii. There are 50 different jobs that we gamers get to play. These range  from being a courier to cleaning up airplanes. After a certain job (aka mini game) is beaten enough times then a more advanced version of the game is unlocked. The most fascinating thing about Help Wanted is the one player story mode. Different heavenly bodies are crashing down to earth. The player earns money from the jobs, purchases items (or new jobs) on the television, and uses points from those purchases to earn items that are used to stop the impending doom.

Hudson has always had a unique look and feel to their games. Help Wanted is no different from their video game history. There are a lot of bright colors, and the entire family unit is shown in this Wii game. There is some violence in this game in a few of the jobs. There are also a few jobs like body building where the characters are not wearing a lot of clothing. These are mild in my opinion, but the WMG wanted to make the reader aware of them.

Help Wanted has some awesome special effect sounds. The music fits the theme, and the excitement in story mode is accentuated by the sounds. There are some adult themes in this game as the grandfather suspects the father of cheating on the mother (thankfully that is not the case). Thumbs in the bowls of ramen is also explored.

Help Wanted has fifty jobs with multiple difficulty levels. That will keep most gamers busy for months. Add in the multiplayer modes and tons of trophies. Help Wanted is also very reasonably priced. The WMG feels this game is worth the money.

The controls in Help Wanted are really good. There are fifty different mini games, so gamers will find some easier than others. Another facet of Help Wanted is the direction screens that explain the directions before a mini game is first played. These helped the WMG understand what to do, and when. Now doing it was another issue altogether. The WMG had fun playing Help Wanted, and so did everyone else here at FFG that played it.

Help Wanted teaches quite a few good family values. Elders are respected, the family unit is traditional, and intact. Help Wanted also teaches a wonderful work ethic. This story mode of this Wii game is to save the world from impending doom. Family Friendly Gaming would love to see sequels to Help Wanted in coming years.
