Happier Than You is the first commercial game from developer
Christian Ibarra of Funeffect.com. In this puzzle game, gamers can enjoy
the thrill of the game itself, as well as learning Biblical lessons
about helping others and the dangers of envy.
Happier than You presents the gamer with the opportunity to make
"inventions" for people. The inventions are made by purchasing parts
from the market and then placing the parts in the desired order. Once
the parts are selected, they placed together to form the invention. The
invention is then given to the people waiting. The goal is to make the
people happy using the inventions - by matching your parts with theirs.
The gameplay is simple enough for the novice gamer to jump right in, but
it also has multiple concepts for the advanced gamer to enjoy as well.
The gamer is responsible for good stewardship, keeping others happy,
watching out for envy and more. There are also bonus points that can be
achieved to help raise your score through various inventing methods.
The graphics of Happier than You are pretty basic. There is nothing that
will jump out as amazing, but it is definitely serviceable for the
gameplay. The sound can be somewhat annoying with certain sound effects
being used time after time. As with most games, the settings menu will
allow the sound efects to be adjusted to your liking.
Happier than You is a fun puzzle game that can be enjoyed by the whole
family. The Biblical concepts and ideals are certain to open discussion
