Foto Frenzy

Foto Frenzy takes the I Spy concept of game play and tweaks it in some interesting ways. First off let me say, this is the most difficult “find the differences in photos” video game I have ever played. I had to bring my own levels of playing to a whole new level. I also did not realize (at first) that there are so many hints per series. Even with those, this is one tough Nintendo DS video game. Well at least it was for me. My wonderful husband was able to breeze through parts of this game, but then he is one of the pillars of the gaming community. Even he said the difficulty was up there though.

The pictures in Foto Frenzy are a wide range of real photographs. The photographer is given credit in this Nintendo DS game, and that is really neat in my opinion. If you find some pictures you like, you can find out who did it in case you want one for your wall. Finding the differences between the pictures can be easy at times, and very difficult on others. I had to get into a mode mentally to find many of them. Once you get in that groove it becomes very addicting.

Foto Frenzy has some very distinctive music that was pretty cool. I had to be careful, because that timer counts down fast. So there was no time to relax and enjoy the sounds. The sound bytes that are played when the timers is almost out, causes the blood to pump must faster. I found no offensive sounds or words while playing Foto Frenzy on the Nintendo DS.

I love games that include single card download play. Foto Frenzy has that as part of its multiplayer mode. Four players can play Foto Frenzy together. There are over two hundred puzzles, and five thousand challenges. Foto Frenzy is very addicting. I found myself trying to find the differences and get to the next screen. Once I beat the first series, I wanted to get through the next one. If you are up for a challenge then I suggest you spend your money on Foto Frenzy.

Part of the reason Foto Frenzy is so difficult is the timer. Also if you make a wrong pick, you lose precious time. There are hints the player can use where differences are circled for the player. Players do not have a lot of them, so use them sparingly. On certain screens I found a difference and tapped where I thought it was. I was off a little bit, and lost time. So certain differences can be a little touchy about where the player taps the screen. I had fun playing this Nintendo DS game.

Foto Frenzy is safe for the entire family. Players learn concentration, attention to detail, and finding irregularities. As a mental exercise Foto Frenzy is great. As a game it is very challenging. I would love a sequel to this game, especially if the player is given some customization on the timer.
