Drawn to Life The Next Chapter

There is something very special about the Drawn to Life franchise. It starts with the story of the Creator, and The Book of Life. These concepts are a reality to the millions of Christians around the world, and is a wonderful concept that reaches the majority of Americans. I was pretty stoked to see Drawn to Life The Next Chapter at E3 this year. It may have been slightly overshadowed by so many other wonderful games in THQ’s booth this year. Well Drawn to Life The Next Chapter is getting its time in the light.

There is quite a bit of drawing required in the Wii version of Drawn to Life The Next Chapter. I am in awe of those who are good at art and can make fantastic looking characters. I am not one of those people. God has given me many talents, but drawing is not one of them. The 2D side scrolling levels have fantastic looking backgrounds. The player even gets to draw things like a lizard on a wall. This interactivity with the graphics goes a long ways. There is Mario style violence where the enemies can be stomped, punched, etc.

The music in Drawn to Life The Next Chapter is great. I really enjoy listening to this game. The talk of the Creator is positive, and this game shows acting like you know better than the Creator is a mistake. These are fantastic lessons all of us need to be reminded of.

THQ never stops surprising me. Drawn to Life The Next Chapter includes some sports style mini games that are fun. This is on top of the normal game that includes a mountain of customization. You will easily spend weeks working on Drawn to Life The Next Chapter. I feel that this Wii game is worth the price of admission.

Drawn to Life The Next Chapter allows the player to draw right on the game levels while they are playing. This is only for certain parts of the game though. There are also physics areas where certain things are drawn and gravity applies to it. I had a lot of fun playing Drawn to Life The Next Chapter on the Wii. My only problem was making sure I talked to all the right people before opening the next level. I learned that pretty fast.

The lessons in Drawn to Life The Next Chapter are good ones that all of us can easily apply to our lives. I feel honored that I was able to play and review this Wii game. I hope THQ continues to produce Drawn to Life video games in the future.  I will be recommending this game to friends, pastors, and family members.
