Deal or No Deal

There are few game shows that have interested me. Normally players are expected to know a plethora of worthless information. Rarely does that translate well into video games. So going into Deal or No Deal I prepared myself for the worst. I found this Wii game to be a very pleasant surprise. Not only is this game show all about chance, it is actually exciting. There are twenty six cases ranging from a penny to one million dollars. Pick one for yourself, and start picking the others. The bank representative calls in, and makes the player an offer. The higher numbers left on the board, the more the bank is willing to offer the player. Then decide if you want to take their offer or see if what you have is more.

The graphics in Deal or No Deal look like a game show. The details are lacking, and the characters are not realistic. The ladies holding the cases are dressed in a way to accentuate their sexuality.  It seems more effort was spent on the chests than the faces for example.

Howie Mandel has some nice lines in Deal or No Deal. The problem is many of those lines are used over, and over, and over, and well you get the idea. The music in Deal or No Deal for the Wii really got my blood pumping. I walked away with no money, but I was deeply considering my actions late in all of my games.

Deal or No Deal has a lot of replay value if you are into this kind of a game. I am proud of the developer Black Lantern for putting so many unlockable, and multi-player modes in this game. I feel Deal or No Deal is worth the price of admission.

The Wii Remote controls work great in Deal or No Deal. There is not a lot of diversity to what is required, but I did not get tired of hitting 'A' to skip scenes, and pointing at the on screen choices. I love to play games like Deal or No Deal because they are way better than I expect them to be. I had a lot of fun playing this Wii game, along with everyone else here at Family Friendly Gaming.

Deal or No Deal teaches odds, and whether or not to take chances. This Wii game includes a blackjack kind of a version of the game, so it skirts around gambling. If you approve of the television show, then you will approve of this game. I do not feel Deal or No Deal is gambling since I never put any money down.
