There are very few video games that I feel deserve the rarely given Family Friendly Gaming seal of approval. So when I do recommend a game for the much sought after FFG seal of approval you know it is something special indeed. Zenses Ocean is one of the best Nintendo DS games I have played all year. The Game Factory knows what girls, women, and every single intelligent gamer out there wants. We want video games that do things to improve our lives. After volunteering at the school, and teaching my own children all day long it is nice to have Calgon take me away. There is a bit of a hassle with a bubble bath, so I am excited that Zenses Ocean is now on the market. This game is like a sigh of relief that our culture really needs.
Zenses Ocean has a real aquatic look to it. The graphics are stellar, and make me want to get back to the beach. The images in this DS game are completely safe for the entire family.
I have tried some of those soothing tapes that are advertised as relaxing and wound up gritting my teeth. Zenses Ocean has real relaxing music that had me closing my eyes and imagining beauty at Seaside. I believe all anyone needs to do is hear Zenses Ocean and they will purchase it. There is nothing offensive in the audio department of Zenses Ocean.
I checked out the puzzle games in Zenses Rainforest, and like the ones in Zenses Ocean a lot better personally. To me they are easier, which for ya'll means more approachable. They are also more rewarding, and captivating in my opinion. The better you do in each level the longer (editor: and farther) you will get while playing Zenses Ocean. I feel that you will get your money's worth with a purchase of this Nintendo DS video game.
The touch controls of Zenses Ocean works great. Sorry I had a Tony the Tiger moment, but it is true. The only possible confusion I ran into was the Hot Spot game. Tapping on a part of the animal being re-created is needed to get the pieces lined up just right unless the player wants to wait for it to slowly rotate around. Even then it may be off. Once I figured that out, I was golden. I found Zenses Ocean to be a lot of fun.
The few times video games are in the news, it is usually to tell us
about another video game connected school shooter, or some other
negative side effect to the industry. So I find Zenses Ocean to be
a wonderful bridge that shows not all video games are bad. There are
more and more that do the right thing, plus help people improve their
lives. I hope to see a sequel.
