Wii Fit

After a few days of Wii Fit it became crystal clear to me. Nintendo started with the Wii Remote, and Nunchuk to get our hands moving, and now Wii Fit gets our legs (and hopefully a lot more) moving as well. The Balance Board is one slick little innovation, and at ninety dollars is a lot cheaper than a gym membership (for a year), or exercise equipment. It almost feels weird to think of Wii Fit as a video game, because it is a piece of exercise equipment. It weighs each member of the family, asks for their height, and gives balance tests. On top of that there are fun games to play, and exercises to perform. I have already been losing weight using Wii Fit.

Nintendo has improved the graphics in Wii Fit (comparing it to Wii Sports). There are personal trainers of each gender, and I did not find them sexual in any way, shape, or form. There are plenty of encouraging graphics to keep working, and trying hard. Wii Fit graphically educates the user in how to do each of the exercises.

The sounds in Wii Fit are very pleasant. The Balance Board voice is one of the friendliest I have ever come across. The game does joke with the player a little bit, especially after failing a balance test miserably.

Wii Fit

Like a lot of Nintendo video games Wii Fit starts out with a few things, and a ton of unlockable content. The exercises alone are worth the replay for months. Once I add in the different games, I can see people using Wii Fit for years. This game is reasonable priced for all of the content, and the improvements it makes to our lives.

I have never liked or trusted the BMI. Muscular people like myself get the label of obese by a BMI. I have seen doctors, had my body fat tested, and received a clean bill of health. Now that I got that out of the way, Wii Fit controls extremely well. The board is accurate in gauging movements, just be sure to keep other people clear. I have had a very enjoyable time playing Wii Fit, and I plan to keep at it until I reach that weight goal. After that goal, I will put in another one.

Wii Fit is one of the shining stars in the video game industry. Not only does it improve our lives, it also improves the image of the gamer. I am not fond of the inclusion of Yoga personally. Wii Fit is safe for the entire family, although young children need assistance with this one (unless they can read). I can only imagine what Nintendo will think of next.
