We Ski has to be one of the most amazing video games I have played all year. This Wii video game feels like being on the slopes. I spent quite a few years snowboarding in the Cascades and absolutely love how We Ski feels. Namco Bandai knows what they are doing with this Wii Balance Board compatible video game. Do not worry if you do not have the Wii Balance Board because We Ski is just as playable with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. The Happy Ski Resort is waiting for you to come and have a good time in the cold.
We Ski keeps it bright, colorful, and very family friendly in the graphical department. The mountain has to be seen to be believed. The characters are cute, animate well, and the player can even import their Miis to go down the slopes. The lighting effects work well, especially if the player feels like some night skiing. Skiers can bump into one another on the slopes and lose their balance. This lowers the grade of the player going down the slope (each slope is graded). So that is actually discouraged.
We Ski keeps the sounds crisp, clear and clean. There is a rare alcohol reference, but not a major part of this Wii video game. I really enjoyed the musical content in We Ski. A Pac-Man theme can be heard in certain areas. All of the music, and verbal encouragement work nicely in We Ski.
If you are looking for a winter wonderland experience then We Ski is a video game that you absolutely must pick up. It is worth your hard earned dollars. We Ski can be replayed for months easily, and the Wii Balance Board means exercise as well as entertainment. There is plenty to do in this video game, and a lot of entertainment to be found.
We Ski handles perfectly. Namco Bandai knows exactly what they were doing with this video game. It feels like being on the slopes, and that is not the easiest thing to duplicate. The different challenges, and fun games found within We Ski (like the Ski School) allows anyone in the family to pick up this Wii video game and have a ball. We Ski is one of the most fun video games I have played all year long.
We Ski shows the video
game industry what a video game can, and should be. Namco Bandai
comprehends what it means to be very inclusive. The lack of offensive
content is a shining example to the rest of the industry. I really hope
that We Ski is the tip of the iceberg because we need more family
friendly games like this one.
