We Cheer

We Cheer is a cheer leading video game where the player uses two Wii Remotes to follow the motions of the on screen characters. The different motions required can be difficult, and the ESRB is correct about the lyrical content issues. They did however miss the sexual content included in this Nintendo Wii video game. The storyline is on the light side as different cheerleaders compete against one another. We Cheer is part exercise game, and part girl game. Different outfits can be picked, and used in the different stages in this Wii game.

Namco Bandai made sure a cute look was used in the style of art in We Cheer. The cheerleaders in this game look a lot like the ones in real life, although there are certain unwelcome accentuations. Many of the outfits are what I would describe as racy. My niece is a cheerleader and they do not do a lot of the gyrations that are part of the animations.

There are plenty of songs from different dance eras in We Cheer. I liked a few of the songs in We Cheer, but there were also ones containing words I would not want my children to repeat. The sounds are very crisp and clear in We Cheer. The special effect sounds in this Nintendo Wii home console release are excellent.

Namco Bandai included a lot of songs, levels, characters and outfits in We Cheer. If you can ignore the issues in the previous paragraphs, then there is a ton of replay value to this Nintendo Wii game. The exercise aspect to We Cheer make it one purchase to at the very least consider.

It took me a few tries to understand the timing of the different motions. I also ran into issues seeing all the motion indicators. The reason is there is so much going on visually that (at first) it takes time to process everything. We Cheer controls really well, and the on screen motions match the Wii Remotes quite well. I did find We Cheer to be a fun video game to play, as did my niece.

We Cheer teaches coordination, enticement to lust, women being used as sex objects, and team work. Some of these are lessons that are positive, and some are negative. I would really enjoy a sequel to We Cheer, especially if the sexual content, and lyrical problems are corrected. I applaud Namco Bandai for releasing another exercise video game to get us off our behinds, and to get the blood pumping.
