The Genius Club

The Genius Club is one of the most interesting DVD movies I have seen all year long. In case you are wondering I catch quite a few movies each year. A mad genius has planted a nuke near the Whitehouse. He demands the Americans with the highest IQ’s play a little game with him. If they can score enough points then he will not kill them. They are brought into harms way by the US government who wants to save thousands of residents of DC. The game he puts them through is to ultimately solve the problems of the world. The kicker of this DVD is they have to do this on Christmas Eve.

The video in The Genius Club is generally dark going along with the theme of a nuclear explosion on United States soil. The acting of the cast is exceptionally well, and they really get across the dire urgency of their situation. Having only one night to try and solve all of the world’s problems would be intense pressure. To warn the children of the family there is some blood, and death in this PG rated DVD movie. Almost every flashback is very bright so the entire movie is not dark.

The script is written exceptionally well. At first it seemed to have a politically liberal slant, however Communism is also trashed as well as Capitalism. Dictators are treated with contempt as well. The Genius Club takes a long, hard look at the problems in our culture, and eventually lets the solution to shine through. I did not hear any offensive language while watching this DVD movie.

There are quite a few deleted scenes, trailers, and commentary included within The Genius Club as extra features. Cloud Ten Pictures also included trailers of quite a few other movies from their stable. If you are interested in an exciting movie that will also make you think then The Genius Club is worth the price of admission.

The Genius Club DVD functions beautifully. I did not run into any issues in this department at all. The menu screens are layed out with an intelligent design. I ran my normal tests on this DVD and everything. I had a very entertaining and thought provoking experience with all of the time I spent with The Genius Club.

The Genius Club could be a life changing experience for a lot of people, and the end message is worthy of our time. I have decided not to spoil it for our readers. The answer to the bomb, and the encouragement this DVD gives makes it a worthy purchase. I am encouraging a lot of friends and family to watch this movie as soon as earthly possible. I would love to see a sequel to this DVD, especially if the level of quality is the same or even better. I hope you enjoy this DVD as much as I did.
