The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom

The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom follows the class Disney channel movies. They dance, sing, and work their way to the top as performers. They work hard at their craft of entertainment. Expect current dance styles found in the year of our Lord 2008. This Nintendo DS video game from Disney Interactive Studios is geared towards the pre teen girls who enjoy the movies. There are a lot similarities between this video game and the High School Musical games on the Nintendo DS. Like always I made sure to have someone in the target group play the game to get their perspective.

The visuals seen while playing The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom are pretty standard Nintendo DS graphics. There are some decent cut scene graphics, and the dancing is a lot tamer than I was expecting. Families that are against current dance styles may have a problem with The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom, so it is important for me to bring that issue up. The attire they wear is also the kind of clothing that is sold in a lot of retailers across America. In other words moderation is not celebrated. There is worse clothing in other games, but again it is my duty to bring up this aspect.

The music inside The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom is also pretty standard Disney Channel stuff. My experience is people either have a love or a hate for that musical style. Personally I would prefer Christian contemporary, or Country. If you like the hip hop bubble gum pop then you will enjoy the music in this DS video game. I did really enjoy the star special effect sounds that added a lot to this game.

DGamer brings a lot to this title, and it was pure genius by Disney Interactive Studios to include it. Unlocking new content for the DGamer profile adds a lot to the lifespan of The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom. Fans of this franchise should check this one out if you like the issues brought up in the next paragraph.

The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom includes a little diversity in the game play, but there is a lot of repetitive aspects to it. The main part of the game is touching the DS screen at the exact place and time as one circle is shrinking onto another circle. There are some more mini games, but that one is the dominate force in this DS game. More variety in the story mode would have been appreciated.

The Cheetah Girls Passport to Stardom is a pretty clean video game on the Nintendo DS. Parents may have issues with minor content found in this video game. The core of that stems from the franchise itself. If your family has problems with the franchise then pass on this one. I would let my niece play this one.
