TV Show King Party
SCORE: 80
Have you ever wanted to play on a television game show with a lot of questions about err umm television? If the answer is yes then TV Show King Party may be for you. One to four players get to answer questions in a wide array of topics, spin the wheel to get more money, take it from other players, or lose money. Of course the money is thrown around at high numbers in this game, and the winner walks away with nothing but bragging rights. Miis are incorporated nicely into this Wii game. One of the biggest surprises in this game is the attire of the female DJ character, and the lack of clothing on the female assistant. Certain attributes are accentuated beyond realistic proportions for no logical reason. Even the most brainwashed couch potatoes will find questions that will humble them in TV Show King Party. Only God knows everything, so expect to get some questions wrong in this game.
TV Show King Party feels like a game show that one would find on television. Certain Miis will dance while the wheel spins, and there are a lot of colors used. The clothing choices by the females in this game is the biggest complaint that will come from families.
The sounds in TV Show King Party are fun. The game show host is professional, and does not deviate from the format of the show. This is something the WMG really approves of. The music works just fine for this Wii game. The WMG did not find any offensive sounds or language while playing TV Show King Party.
Four players can have a great time competing against one another in the same room at the same time with this Wii game. There are thousands of questions, and a couple of different modes. The blond assistant is the only hindrance to months of replay. The WMG sees this game as an upgrade to Trivial Pursuit.
TV Show King Party has Wii Remote controls that bank on the player pointing at the right answer. This works well almost all the time. Clearing the boxes to see the answers is one of the more interesting tweaks GameLoft made to this franchise. The WMG had fun playing this game, especially when winning the entire contest.
TV Show King Party had a lot of
promise based upon the premise. Unfortunately there are a couple of
issues that need to be adjusted for any sequels. Overall this is a good
first attempt that could be really great. Families can come together and
test their knowledge on a lot of different topics.
