Summon Night Twin Age

Summon Night Twin Age reminds the RPG Master of the Secret of Mana series. The action is hack, slash, magic, and summoning monsters to dispose of the bad monsters. This fantasy world is shared with spirits who can grant people powers. One group (humans) uses them for their own purposes while the other group (Kascuza) work in communion with the spirits. Something stirs the spirits up and they go all evil. So the player must embark upon a quest to try and fix the problem.

Summon Night Twin Age is very artistic with a lot of colors used. There is some mild sexuality as a few characters dress in an inappropriate manner. Compared to most other RPG’s on the market Summon Night Twin Age is tame in this regard. The player uses monsters, magic, and weapons to slice and dice the enemies to pieces. Most of the monsters look like mean animals.

There is some nice voice acting in Summon Night Twin Age. The characters have upbeat, chipper, and happy attitudes in working together, and making the world a better place. The music is pleasant, but did not really stick out. There is a slight twinge of an environmentalism tone to this Nintendo DS game. There are a few words included that you would not want your kids repeating.

Summon Night Twin Age has an interesting feature of letting the player choose between a male and female character. The storyline is slightly varied depending on who is played. At the end of some chapters characters can be consulted. Different characters will say different things. There are a nice amount of extras in Summon Night Twin Age as well.

The controls are one of the most standout features of Summon Night Twin Age. The entire action is controlled via the touch screen. Tap an enemy and the character attacks them. Tap and item, and then the character it is to be used on, and it happens. It took the RPG Master about five minutes to adapt to this kind of a control scheme, and once that occurred Summon Night Twin Age is one of the best controlling games on the market. The only drawback is wanting to use multiple healing items over and over again - this turns into a repetitive tapping pain. This was a fun game for the RPG Master to play on the Nintendo DS.

Summon Night Twin Age reminds the RPG Master of the real spiritual war we are in daily. We do not control demons, or angels so the story in this game does deviate from reality. Summon Night Twin Age is one of the cleaner RPG’s on the market, and has a control scheme that is interesting. There is a lot of hacking and slashing to level up, so be warned if violence disturbs you.
