THQ has been publishing a lot of Nickelodeon franchises on a wide range of video game systems. Some of the best ones have been the action adventure compilations including characters from a lot of different franchises. SpongeBob Squarepants featuring Nicktoons Globs of Doom (SSFNGOD) is one of the most recent offerings from THQ.  These alien globs attack their different worlds, and they have to work together to free those who have gotten brainwashed by these demonic style of forces. Players get to play with two different characters at the same time, and even get to team up with bad guys from the franchises as well. Aliens taking over the world is their gig, and someone else doing it is in their way.

SSFNGOD looks similar to the different cartoons on the Wii and Playstation 2 (PS2). In the little cut scene movies the graphics are an improvement of the television shows. The animation is decent, and there is violence as the player whacks the enemies around until they vanish. Boss battles are diverse, and there are some fun simple racing levels as well.

SSFNGOD has a fun range of sounds. The music is pretty good, and I enjoyed listening to it. A lot of reviewers ignore this aspect of a game, but I find it important to focus on it. There are some characters insulting other characters, and a few with bad attitudes. As controversial as SpongeBob is, I found him to have a positive attitude.

Friends, family, countrymen, and fellow gamers will find some replay value to SSFNGOD. Especially if you want to play with certain characters. Kids will find this a fun little romp of good versus evil. Adults will probably notice the issues in the next paragraph.

SSFNGOD controls generally well. Certain vehicles that are driven felt loose to me. There are combo attacks, which are rarely needed. The one issue I have with the controls is the moves are really similar between almost every character. Kids will have no problem with this, but judgemental adults will probably scream about it. I had some fun playing SSFNGOD, even though it was repetitive in the gameplay.

Cleaning up the goo, and fighting against evil are the main lessons in SSFNGOD. I would like to see sequels, especially if  more variety (moves) is given to the different characters, and less violence.
