SpongeBob Squarepants featuring Nicktoons Globs of Doom

Spongebob Squarepants featuring Nicktoons Globs of Doom on the Nintendo DS is a fun little cooperative hand held game. Players have a good and evil character working together to get through the levels and fight off the evil globs of doom. I thought of the globs of doom like I was fighting off the brainwashing programming on the Communist News Network (CNN). I heard a lot from the highly respected elders here at Family Friendly Gaming about the controversial nature of SpongeBob.  I kept my eyes and ears open looking for anything that would raise a red flag. I am happy to report I did not find anything in this DS game.

Globs of Doom DS looks really good. The characters animate great, and there is plenty of background images to pay attention to. I can see the level of detail put into this game, and I think you can see what I am saying. There is some cartoon violence as the player shoots or punches the bad guys. The usage of color in Globs of Doom is admirable.

Rarely do I find anything in a video game funny. Globs of Doom DS had me laughing in a couple of parts. I actually found stuff in this game to be humorous. It is a good clean, and wholesome humor too - not the garbage other gaming sites celebrate. The music is classic, and those that enjoy classic video games will appreciate it. I did not find any offensive sounds while I played this Nintendo DS video game.

Globs of Doom has some replay value to it, which mainly consists of two people having this game and playing together. The length of the quest in Globs of Doom is right where it should be, and the additional content in this game is adequate. If you like the game play aspects, then this is one Nintendo DS game to check out.

I know we reviewers need to be as objective as possible. I think the game play in Globs of Doom is awesome. The two characters have to work together to open the path to completion. This is an awesome lesson that is taught in a really fun way. Yes I had a lot of fun playing Globs of Doom on the DS. The different controls work perfectly in this game as well.

I already told everyone about the helping one another lesson, which is the biggest selling point for Globs of Doom in my paperback. I would love to see more games with this style of game play, and the clean wholesome humor. The violence may turn some families away.
