SpaceStation Sim

Have yous guys ever wanted to build your very own international space station? If the answer to that question is a yes, then SpaceStationSim may be a game for you. Players learn the basics in a tutorial, and then take to the skies. Various countries participate, and the player can create their very own scientists to go up into space. Once the main game is started a tourist comes on board to wreak havoc on the equipment inside the space station. Similar to the Sims the player must micromanage the actions of the astronauts inside the space station. Vision Videogames developed this game in collaboration with NASA. SpaceStationSim also has romance in it, as characters can have puppy love for one another.

The camera is controlled completely by the player, and can take a little getting used to. The main problem with the camera is how sensitive it is. Once that is gotten down, the graphics are very functional. Do not expect this game to tax your graphics card, but it is all passable. A few of the clothing choices for the female characters is very form fitting, and exhibits their sex quite well. If enticement to lust is an issue for yous guys then be aware with this game. There is also images of mild violence.

For love of all that is holy, the WMG has absolutely no idea why the sounds are so annoying in SpaceStationSim. The astronauts can not do things for themselves (like go to the bathroom), so they will shriek that they need to pee. They keep doing it too. So the player must direct them to the bathroom, and sometimes it takes reminding them for them to visit the can. This goes for repairing equipment that is broken (yet again), eating, exercising, etc. The intro song is actually really good, and sets the mood for the entire game. There are sounds of crude humor, along with references to drinking, and smoking. The WMG found the game is more fun to play with the speakers turned off.

There are plenty of modules that the player can launch into orbit, along with different items, and experiments that can be enacted as well. The main problem though is the game does not always explain why certain items can not be launched up to the international space station at certain times. This becomes frustrating after going through five different screens trying to get something new in the international space station. If yous guys are really into a space station simulator, and the bad content does not bother yous, then check this game out.

The controls in SpaceStationSim are decent, but annoying as to how often they need to be enacted. The WMG did not have fun playing this game, but telling someone to go to the bathroom is just not what the WMG likes to do. The design of the space station is up to the player and that is really cool.

Learning about how an international space station works is awesome. The bad content does drag this game down though. There really is no need for the bad content. It is also unknown if sexual deviant relationships are allowed in this game. The WMG wishes this game was a whole lot cleaner, and safer for the family.
