Penny Racers Party
SCORE: 83
Penny Racers Party Turbo Q Speedway is like a breath of fresh air on
the Nintendo Wii. We get to race all kinds of cool little cars that are
modeled after the old Penny Racer toy lines. Thankfully we do not need
to put pennies in the back of the vehicles to make them go. I have been
told by old timers that dimes usually worked better.
I approve of the cute graphical style in this Wii game. Tomy included
way more customization on Penny Racers Party Turbo Q Speedway than I was
expecting. Cars can bump into each other, which is more of an irritant
than violence. Bumping into other vehicles slows the player down, and in
my opinion is counter productive.
Penny Racers Party Turbo Q Speedway has some fun little sounds
associated with it. I enjoyed the music that played, and the car sounds
while running the races. I did not find any offensive sounds while
playing this Wii game.
Penny Racers Party Turbo Q Speedway has a lot of replay value to it in
my opinion. There are plenty of parts to purchase, and plenty of races
will need to be run in order to afford many of those parts. In addition
the fun little mini games broke up the pace of Penny Racers Party Turbo
Q Speedway. If you are looking for a safe racer for your kids, then you
might want to considering purchasing this one.
The only problem area I found in Penny Racers Party Turbo Q Speedway is
the gameplay. It took me quite a few tries, upgrades, and whatnot to be
able to beat some of the races in this game. Other games like pushing a
baseball down a path were intensely difficult. In fact hardcore gamers
will find themselves getting schooled. I am a competitive person, and
found this Wii game to be fun.
How often do we get to review games that are just good clean fun? Penny
Racers Party Turbo Q Speedway is one of those games, and it was my honor
to be able to play and review this game. I learned how to work hard to
achieve my goals, and to play fair with others. I hope for future games
in this franchise in the near future, just please clean up the gameplay
some.
