Namco Museum Virtual Arcade

I have enjoyed plenty of arcade video game collections in the past. Namco Museum Virtual Arcade on the Xbox 360 is a decent compilation of arcade games from the past. These older games are generally safer for the family, but there is one drawback I am beginning to see. I have played many of these games over and over again from one console generation to another. I am starting to question how many times I can play the same arcade games. Newer games who have not had the pleasure of playing this arcade classics is the only group I can see who would be interested in Namco Museum Virtual Arcade. Well there is one more group - competitive gamers. Since this Xbox 360 game includes online versions of certain arcade classics.

Namco Museum Virtual Arcade has classic graphics for the most part, which means they are a few decades behind the times. There are some wonderful background images for those into video game art. Namco Museum Virtual Arcade also includes some violent images especially with the shooting video games. The smaller screens on some games can be expanded in the options of each game.

The classic sounds in this Xbox 360 video game bring back memories from my past. Much of these sounds are ones I still enjoy today. The constant explosions in the shooting games get boring to me.  Historical gamers will appreciate the audio in Namco Museum Virtual Arcade.

The online aspects of Namco Museum Virtual Arcade will keep a lot of gamers busy for years to come. If you have not played many classic games, then you will find a fair amount of replay in Namco Museum Virtual Arcade.

The controls are generally intelligent in this Xbox 360  video game. The layout works well, even if it has been done the same way for decades.  I had some nostalgic fun playing Namco Museum Virtual Arcade, but in the end I have outgrown a lot of these games. I have also played a lot of them multiple times on multiple systems.

There are some real gems in Namco Museum Virtual Arcade, especially the arrangement versions. Look through the list of games to decide if this game will join your collection. There are plenty of different lessons in this Xbox 360 game which range from saving the earth from aliens to winning the race. I like the online playing of these classics, and think sequels need to follow that path further.
