Mechanic Master

Mechanic Master is one tough puzzle game on the Nintendo DS. Midway completely rocked me with this fun little hand held video game. Each level gives the player a set number of items, and so many aliens to be disposed of.  Weights, fans, pulleys, lighters, engines, and plenty of other items can be used to achieve the goal. The mechanical nature of Mechanic Master shines through pretty quickly. Puzzle fans should take note of this one on the already crowded Nintendo DS field.

The surreal scenery in Mechanic Master made this one fun DS game to look at. All of the different mechanical items look realistic on the small screen. The attention to detail shines through. The poor little aliens get removed in a Looney Tunes style, well actually not even that graphic. Getting the play what I built in this game resounded like a gong with this reviewer.

Midway made sure that excellent, and exceptional sounds were included in Mechanic Master for the DS. Music can be such a simple thing, but it goes a long way to the overall feel of a video game. I did not find any offensive sounds, or text words while playing Mechanic Master. I did enjoy the tutorial, and find that very important in a game like this one.

Puzzle games almost always bring a lot more to the table than most other video game genres. Factor in they are also usually Family Friendly, and the replay value of this stock soars. Mechanic Master has over 100 hundred levels, and includes a level editor. If you can swim through the three digit worth of levels, and get bored, then you can create your own personal challenges. As if that was not enough there is a drawing mode. If you enjoy mental exercise then your money would be well spent on Mechanic Master.

The intricate attention to detail of the controls in this Nintendo DS game is acknowledged by Family Friendly Gaming. I was greatly impressed with the intelligent designs in this game. It starts out simple enough, but later this game gets complex. Mechanic Master has great touch screen controls, and layouts. I had fun playing this game, even if it gave me a headache from time to time.

While you are out there sailing towards the second star on the right, and staying straight till the morning consider a family friendly and fun video game like Mechanic Master. The only people who would not like to learn physics are in my opinion lazy. I am fascinated with how things work, and this DS game gives that lesson in abundance. I would like to a sequel to this, especially if it is more of the exact same.
