Margots Word Brain

Margot’s Word Brain is one of the more exciting economy priced Nintendo Wii titles I have played in some time. She is a friendly little avatar that helps the player with the six different word games. The texting game is one of the more interesting ones I have played on the Wii. To be honest I never liked texting on a cell phone, but have found it to be fun on the Nintendo Wii. The six games included are Word Link, Word Mine, Hyper Txt, Word Run, Word Safe, and Word Search. I was a little surprised to see the ESRB rated this game with an E10+ (for Everyone 10 years and older), but there are some language issues in this home console video game.

Margot’s Word Brain has a very soft graphical look to it. I was worried there might be some enticement to lust issues in this game from the front cover picture. Thankfully that worry was not realized when I booted up the game. The background images add a lot of credibility to Margot’s Word Brain. The letters look as they should, and a proper font was picked by Zoo Games. I did not run into any offensive images while playing Margot’s Word Brain.

The music that plays in Margot’s Word Brain is pleasant. Margot’s voice is also pleasant, and almost always encouraging. To me that is very important, and not enough video games encourage the player. The special effect sounds fit the theme of this game beautifully. There are a wide array of words in this game, and there are a few that will under the umbrella of offensive.

Margot’s Word Brain is an excellent learning game with countless hours of replay value to it. If your kids are having trouble in school, and over the age of ten, then Margot’s Word Brain is a great tool to help them improve. I feel that Margot’s Word Brain is worth your money. The only drawback is only one player can play at a time.

Margot’s Word Brain has good controls. The Hyper Txt game is the perfect example of why that kind of message sending is annoying, irritating, and not worth the hassle. I also found some great intelligent design to these word games. I had a lot of fun playing Margot’s Word Brain on the Nintendo Wii, and I believe you will as well.

Zoo Games is doing the video game industry a favor by releasing Margot’s Word Brain on the Wii, Playstation 2, and Personal Computer. I would love to see sequels to this franchise. The personality of Margot, and the word games are all great. The mild language is the major hurdle this franchise needs to address in any future release. It was my personal pleasure to get to play, and review Margot’s Word Brain for the Nintendo Wii.
