Marble Blast Ultra
SCORE: 90
I can be a rather finicky
person when it comes to porting games from one system to another. In
this case however I think the port of Marble Blast Gold from the PC to
the Xbox 360 was a spectacular move by Garage Games. Players can
download this fun little puzzle game for a few dollars, and it cuts back
on all of the problems with stock and retailers. A lot of the middle men
are taken out, which equates to a savings to us gamers.
The graphics are slightly
improved from the PC version, as they have been softened a little. The
sounds are as good as the PC version however it has been some time and
they are just not as great as I once remember. The control scheme works
so much better on the Xbox 360 that is warms my heart. Sixty levels of
varying difficulty really add a lot of playability, and trying to figure
out certain things add replay value as well.
Garage Games really
thought out the control scheme in a very intelligent manner. I love
good, clean video games like this one. Rolling a marble around levels
has never been more fun on the Xbox 360 than Marble Blast Ultra. I hope
to see some sequels to this game in the near future.
