Left Brain Right Brain 2

I fondly remember Left Brain Right Brain from Majesco Entertainment. I have my head down so often taking care of so many aspects of Family Friendly Gaming that I do not always pay attention to what is on the horizon. So Left Brain Right Brain 2 was one of those pleasant surprises. The ambidexterity training game is back, and almost every single section has been improved upon. Hence the higher score.

The graphics in Left Brain Right Brain 2 are a big improvement over the original. I am very impressed with the polished product that Majesco Entertainment has released. There are a lot of different images, colors, and even some 3D going on. There is some mild cartoon violence with the player getting hit by a fire ball, or crows popping balloons. Nothing that I got excited over, but still present and worth a mention.

The audio department of Left Brain Right Brain 2 feels about the same to me. In fact I popped in the previous version and compared them. I may be asking too much but I expected more improvements. The special effect sounds still enhance, and the timer warning is not annoying. The timer warning in Left Brain Right Brain 2 did get my attention a little more, and at times I would stop concentrating on the game and check the timer.

Left Brain Right Brain 2 has a lot of unlockable content, and fun mini games to master. The five different levels becoming more challenging as time goes along. A single card can be used with two Nintendo DS'es so more than one person can enjoy this game at a time. Left Brain Right Brain 2 feels fresh in a lot of ways, and I feel it is worth your hard earned money.

Left Brain Right Brain helped me get better with my left hand (that is correct I am a righty). You would be amazed at how I slacked off in this area of my life over the past year or so. Left Brain Right Brain 2 has assisted me improve my ambidexterity again, and I am absolutely loving it. There are so many different mini games to play that I was absolutely thrilled to be reviewing this DS game. All of them control really well, better than the first game in this series.

Years ago there used to be few games out there that assisted us in improving our lives. The field is getting more flowers so to speak, and Left Brain Right Brain 2 is another wonderful game. Those years ago I had hoped and prayed for good games like this one, and now I am seeing them at a higher frequency. I asked for a sequel and Majesco Entertainment delivered in spades. For my friends at Majesco Entertainment I would like to see a sequel require us to use both hands at the same time (two styluses at the same time).
