Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine

Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine has made it to the Nintendo Wii. This platform is perfect for this kind of a video game. The question everyone is asking me is: "how does this game stack up to Cooking Mama?"  There are a few differences, as the major theme of this game is to compete against other chefs, and win in a competition. I did the best I could, and honestly never was sure how the other chef was doing. The main reason is the game does not tell you if you are winning or losing until the very end. Cooking Mama includes a lot more content than Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine. With all of that said, this is still a solid game on the Wii with a few problems I will address after this commercial break (sorry I was racking my poor brain to find some television related pun).

The visuals in Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine are very crisp, clean, and realistic. Well of the food at least. The different chefs have a cartoon look to them. Certain female characters are dressed a little risque for me. The animations are a disappointment since they do not flow.

The music in Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine is great. It inspires me to do great things in the kitchen. I enjoyed Alton Brown's informative comments on different aspects of food. I have usually liked him in Good Eats. Sometimes he can be campy, or insulting, but not so in this game. The judges are strange to say the least. They seem to try and find something mean to say about certain dishes. Hurt my feelings one time after some hard work on a dish.

Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine has a good amount of replay value, especially in the two player mode. The career mode is pretty easy, and many of the mini games are over real quick. The one drawback to Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine is the mini games, and battling can get old.

Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine is on the easy side which is something I appreciate. Niche gamers will not like this Wii game, but the casual gamer will find a lot to like. The mini games are explained before they are played (that can be turned off in the options). I found this game to be fun to play, and enjoyed competing against others.

The comments of the judges is the biggest problem with Iron Chef America Supreme Cuisine. The attire of a few of the females is the second. After those two problems there is a lot to like about this Wii game.
