Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft

After I learned to read (thanks to the Holy Bible) I enjoyed plenty of Hardy Boys mysteries. The Hardy Boys hold a special place in my heart for their good manners, positive attitudes, and determination to shine the light of truth on the darkness. Some of the analytical thought I use as an adult can be traced right back to the books I read as a child. I was very excited to hear about The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft for the Personal Computer (PC). Dreamcatcher Games is the publisher of this E10+ rated video game.

The 3D graphics in The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft fit perfectly. The animations can leave a little to be desired though. There are plenty of realistic, and surreal locations in this PC video game. I loved seeing so many female characters dressed appropriately in The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft. The developer XPEC Entertainment Inc should be commended for that. There is some violence, and blood in this game. I found it to be light, and placed at heinous crimes.

The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft has great audio. The voice acting from the characters display emotion. At times the narratives seemed a little over the top, but that may be my cynical nature. I did not run into any offensive language while playing The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft.

I enjoyed the length of The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft. Mysteries generally do not have a lot of replay to them. Once the mystery is solved, time is needed before trying again. If you are a Hardy Boys fan then you should seriously consider purchasing this PC game.

I was surprised when I ran into a few control issues in The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft.  It may have something to do with the machine I was using, but the cursor changing was at times sluggish. Other times I could not get off a screen because clicking near the edge sent the character walking off screen but the screen did not change.

There are some moral and ethical things I did not enjoy in The Hardy Boys The Hidden Theft. The boys deceive their mother about their activities. As a child, and teenager I never had the need to act in such a disrespectful manner. I am very happy to see them shining the light of truth on crimes. Crime does not pay, and that is a great lesson in this Personal Computer video game.
