Guitar Hero On Tour

Activision has done something the WMG never thought was possible - bring Guitar Hero to the portable. Guitar Hero On Tour is a Nintendo DS video game that is one of the strangest games the WMG has ever played. The little attachment that connects in the GBA cartridge slot has a strap to hold the players hand in place. Activision suggests the player tries to use these buttons one of two ways. This immediately led to problems with the WMG, and everyone else the WMG let try this game. It does not feel right, and wound up hurting every players wrist. The little pick stylus adapter is the coolest thing EVER! In terms of video games that is.  The WMG took some Motrin and hoped the rest of Guitar Hero On Tour would be better than the wrist adapter (had to call it something yah know?).

The graphics are generally darker with a lot of loud lights. There are some characters who seem to think coming partially dressed is what Everyone 10 and higher want to see. The WMG disagrees, and wants them to be more tolerant of clothing.  A lot of the characters really get into the music, like seen at a rock concert. Guitar Hero

On Tour is a music game, so a lot of this game is going to hinge on the music. A lot of rock and roll genres are represented, but the exclusion of Christian rock is puzzling. There are plenty of Petra songs that could have been used, but weren't. There are lyrical issues with quite a few songs which really brings this game down. The WMG pays attention to the lessons being taught in the songs and wonders if those sounding the alarm about the music decades ago were right on track - especially when we look at the situation our society is in.

Controls in this DS game need help, and at times it was not picking up  buttons being pressed. With some tweaks Guitar Hero On Tour could have been a lot better game.
