Go Puzzle

Go Puzzle is a downloadable video game on the Playstation 3. This game comes at a reasonable price, and even has a demo where players can try it before they buy it. Four blocks of the same color must occupy a two by two grid, and this is performed by rotating two blocks in a specific manner. The way the game rotates the blocks is the big stumbling block (pardon the pun ya’ll) to the gameplay of Go Puzzle. It is very awkward to say the least. I had repeated trouble with the layout, and setup of the controls in Go Puzzle. The graphics are very bright and colorful, albeit pretty plain for such a graphical powerhouse as the PS3. I did not notice any offensive images while playing the game.

The sounds are decent, but not so catchy that they make me want to write home about them - or write a lot about them in this review. If you can get by the gameplay issues then there could be a lot of replay value for a very low price. The one drawback is how long it takes to download this game, and then install it. My computer does a much faster, and better job (plus my PC is a whole lot older with worse specs). Add to that download time if the PS3 decides it needs to download a system update before letting you download the game. Sony keeps making this system more cumbersome every single day.

The moral, and ethical content of this game is safe for families. All video game playing ages in the family can safely play this game. The only comic mischief factors I could notice was the expressions of the faces of the blocks, and how they explode once they are removed from the game play area. I understand that everyone wants to do something a little different in the puzzle genre, and applaud Sony for trying; however some things should really not be tried, and Go Puzzle is a classic example of that known truth.
