Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue

I am so pleased to see 2K Play continue to release video games for the younger side of the family. Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue on the Wii is one imagination filled adventure for the younger members of the family. Kids that enjoy the television show (editor: and DVD's) will find a lot to like in this video game. Diego goes back in time to help a dinosaur. Along the way he helps as many of them as he can. There are all kinds of fantasy ideas that children using their imaginations will love (i.e. dinosaurs with feathers being the funniest piece of imagination).

Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue has the cel shaded graphics that either work for you, or don't. I go back and forth on this artistic style personally. I love how there are no violent images in this home console video game.  I did not find any offensive images in this game.

Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue has some decent music, and a definite Latin flavor. In fact I found it humorous to hear all these dinosaurs speaking with Spanish accents. It fits Go Diego Go, but I am not so sure about the era. It goes back to the imagination needed, and children of the target age range certainly have it. All of the instructions work well in this game as well.

Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue has a decent length to the game. Little ones will enjoy the mini games, but may not care to find every single little hidden item. There are a lot of those hidden items as well, especially in later levels.

I found Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue to be fun, and even had a child in the age range try it out. They liked it, especially the simple controls. Tilting the Wii Remote moves the character one direction, and one button is used for jumping, searching, etc. Adults will notice the levels get pretty repetitive, and the child I let try it actually made that same observation.

I am pleased as punch to see more kid games being released on systems like the Nintendo Wii. Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue teaches helping others, searching diligently, and matching skills. I asked for more games in this franchise and am not disappointed with this Wii game. It goes without saying that I hope to see more games in this franchise.
