Dora the EXplorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess

2K Play has got fans of Dora the Explorer covered with this fun little Wii title. Dora the Explorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess has our favorite little adventurer (editor: along with Boots) saving a Snow Princess. This is an action adventure game where the player collects items along the way, and helps different creatures. There are also vehicle levels where Dora flies on a magical horse, sails on a pig pirate ship, snowboards down or a hill (editor: or other similar kind of levels). This diversity of action breaks it up for the young ones playing Dora the Explorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess.

This Wii game contains some nice bright colors, but also some monotone white. I understand that the game is set in a winter wonderland, but at times it seemed over the top. Dora collects snowflakes, and it can be snowing at the same time. In my opinion it was a little too much white. Dora's different outfits contrast on the background images in a way that I appreciated.

The music in Dora the Explorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess is great. Children whom I observed playing this game got a real kick out of it too. The verbal instructions are what set these 2K Play games apart. Not only are there verbal instructions but there is an on screen image of what motion to put the Wii Remote through. Dora the Explorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess is encouraging to the player no matter how well they play.

I was quite happy to see how lengthy the quest was in Dora the Explorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess. It is equal to three television shows. In addition there are extras and mini games that are playable. I found that children did not get tired of this Wii game very quickly, especially if they were fans of Dora the Explorer.

Kids may not get tired of Dora the Explorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess, but I did notice some repitition in the gameplay. The game gets more difficult by adding a lot more places to find the items. I also got tired of having to skip so many little movies. When someone comes to a certain item for the first time there is a little instruction. Problem is many of these are the same kind of items. I found this to be a little overkill as an adult, but the kids did not. So take that for what its worth.

Dora the Explorer Dora Saves the Snow Princess teaches helping others, and standing up against the bad people who use magic. There are also lessons on which item to solve a certain problem, and what comes next in a sequence. I did not have to help any of the children solve the simple puzzles. I am pleased that this franchise is continuing, and hope to see more games like this in the future.
